5 days a week, a total of 16 days of classes



1. Tuition Fee

   1) (Tution per credit × number of credits) + experiment and practice fees

      - Tuition per credit: 110,000 won

      - Experiment and practice fees: 20,000 for physics, chemistry, and biology / 10,000 for mathematics, statistics, and computing subjects

   2) Separate tuition (30,000 won) is applied to the field training courses.

       ※ If you have applied for two courses, you must transfer the total amount of tuition notified to complete the registration.

   3) If the tuition fees differ from the information provided above, you may have applied for courses at "Winter At Yonsei(WAY)" The tuition fees for WAY vary from regular seasonal semester fees. For inquiries related to WAY, please contact iwinter@yonsei.ac.kr.



2. Canceling Courses

   1) If you are unable to study after registration for seasonal classes, you may request cancellation of the class by January 4, 2024 (Thu), 23:59, which is before 1/2 of the total number of class days.

   2) Course cancellation procedure

      - Students may cancel the course directly at the Academic Portal (Yonsei Portal Service > Course > Seasonal Semester Cancellation / Cancellation period is after the end of the tuition payment period, and it will be revised later as soon as it is confirmed.)

        If the course cannot be canceled at the Academic Portal, submit the refund request. Submit a refund request only if it is impossible to cancel the course at the portal. Students at the Colleges of Medicine/Dentistry/Nursing are requested to submit a refund request.

      - Please make sure that your bank account registered on the academic portal is correct. 

      - However, domestic university credit exchange students must submit a cancellation request to the Academic Support Team by 15:00 on the cancellation date.

   4) Tuition refund amount

      - Cancel by the day before the start of the classes (Dec 25 (Mon), 23:59): Full refund of the tuition fee

      - Cancel before 1/3 of the semester (Jan 2, 2024 (Tue), 23:59): 2/3 of the tuition fee

      - Cancel before 1/2 of the semester (Jan 4, 2024 (Thu), 23:59): 1/2 of the tuition fee

      - Cancellation is absolutely impossible after Jan 4, 2024 (Thu), 23:59.

  5) Social Service (UCI2001), Social Participation (UCR1015), and field training courses cannot be canceled.



3. Frequently Asked Questions

   1) I would like to cancel all the seasonal courses I applied.

      → If you do not pay the full tuition fee, all courses that are applied will be deleted. (No disadvantages.)

         There are other students who wanted to apply for the courses but failed. Please take this into consideration.

    2) I want to take only one of the subjects I applied for the seasonal classes and cancel the other.

       → First pay the full tuition, then you can cancel a subject during the cancellation period at the Academic Portal.

           Refer to <2. Canceling Courses> above for how to cancel the course. 

           The amount of tuition refund varies by cancellation period, and please apply by paying attention to the deadline for application for return.

    3) I'd like to withdraw my seasonal course.

       → You cannot withdraw classes in a seasonal semester, so please cancel the class within the deadline.

    4) I paid only a part of the tuition for the seasonal class.

       → If the tuition fee for the applied course is not confirmed, all the applied seasonal classes will be unregistered.

          In this case, the tuition paid will be refunded, but please be aware that you cannot take the 2023 winter seasonal class.

    5) I canceled the course through the Academic Portal. When will I get the refund?

       → Refunds of tuition will be made by the Financial Accounting Team, Office of General Affairs (02-2123-4500). 

           If your account information on the Academic Portal is correct, it will take about a week (working days).

    6) I cannot cancel the course at the Academic Portal. What should I do?  

       → Please submit the attached cancellation application form to yshaksa@yonsei.ac.kr within the cancellation period.

    7) I am a Yonsei student and taking the Winter Abroad at Yonsei courses. How do I cancel the class?

       → The class cancellation of a Yonsei student will be conducted through the Academic Portal. Please contact the International Team, Office of International Affairs (02-2123-3535).
