[2019 여름] 미국 Boston 역사/문화 탐방 프로그램

이 프로그램은 '지역을 섬기고 세계를 변화시키는 대학'이라는 본교 비전에 맞춰 우리 재학생들이 국제 사회에서 공통으로 통용되는 다양한 가치, 준칙, 제도, 관행, 문화 등을 직접 배우고 경험할 수 있도록 기회를 제공하고자 마련되었습니다.

아래 내용을 읽어보시고 관심 있는 학생들의 많은 참여 부탁 드립니다.

* BSU: Bridgewater State University - 원주캠퍼스 협정 대학 중 하나로, 프로그램 기간 중 BSU 기숙사에서 숙박하며 해당 학교 교원의 특강 수강

※ 세부 프로그램 일정은 현지 상황에 따라 변경될 수 있음

<프로그램 비용> - 3,000,000원

- 포함 내역: 인천-보스턴 왕복 항공권, 보스턴 공항-BSU 왕복 셔틀, 근교 관광 현지 교통, 특강, 기숙사, 교내 식사

- 불포함 내역: 교외 자유 여행 비용, 교외 자유 시간 중 식사, 관광 비자 발급, 해외 여행자 보험, 개인 용돈

※ 최종 합격자에게는 1,500,000원의 특별 장학금 지급

<참가비 납부>

- 합격자 발표 후 일주일 이내 참가비 전액 납부 (납부 계좌는 합격자에게만 별도 안내)

- 참가비 납부 2주일 후 학생 계좌로 특별 장학금 지급

<선발 안내>

- 대상: 학부과정 전 학년

- 인원: 10명

- 선발 기준:

　1. (25%) 성적 - 전학년 평량평균 4.3만점 기준 2.5 이상

　　※ 현재 1학년 1학기 학생의 경우 보유한 성적이 없기 때문에 전체 지원자의 평량평균의 평균을 입력하여 대입

　2. (25%) 어학 능력 - 보유하고 있는 공인어학점수 제출

　　※ 공인어학점수가 없는 경우, 성적증명서 상에 표시된 교양영어 3,4 또는 영어 진행 교과목의 성적으로 판단

　3. (25%) 자기소개서 - MS-word 1페이지 분량, 한국어 또는 영어로 작성, 프로그램에 참가하고 싶은 이유, 성취하고 싶은 것, 미래 진로 계획 등에 대해 자유롭게 서술

　4. (25%) 면접

- 지원 방법: 온라인 지원서 (Google Form) 제출 (yonsei.ac.kr 또는 gmail.com 계정 필요)

- 지원서 내 제출 서류:

　1. 증명 사진

　2. 국문 성적증명서

　3. 어학 성적 증명서 - 보유자에 한함

　4. 자기소개서

- 지원 기간: 2019.06.02.(일) 까지 (일주일 연장됨)

<지원자 유의사항>

- 2019.06.04.(화) 진행 예정인 Pre-departure Orientation에 반드시 참석

- 특별 장학금이 수여되기 때문에 합격 후 취소 불가

- 합격자 발표 직후 항공권 구입을 위해 여권사본 제출

- 해외 여행자 보험 개인 가입 후 증빙 제출

- 프로그램 중 주어지는 미션 수행

- 귀국 후 일주일 이내 경험보고서를 작성하여 제출

<참고사항>

- 프로그램 다국화를 위해 다양한 국적의 학부 재학생을 고려하여 선발할 예정

- 인천국제공항 출발. 개별 출발지 및 일정 변경 불가

- 국적별 미국 관광 비자 개별 준비

[2019 Summer] Boston History/Culture Trip

This program aims to provide opportunities for our students to learn and experience various values, norms, systems, practices, and cultures common to the international community in accordance with our vision of 'serving the local community and changing the world'.

<Itinerary> - Sunday, July 28 ~ Sunday August 4 (6 night and 8 days)

(See above schedule table)

* BSU: Bridgewater State University – One of the partner universities of Wonju campus wheres students stay and take lectures during the program period

※ Detailed schedule is subject to change upon local circumstances

<Costs> - KRW 3,000,000

- Included: Round ticket for Incheon-Boston, Shuttle bus between Boston airport to BSU, Local transportation, Special lecture, Accommodation, On-campus dining
- Excluded: Personal expenses for Boston tour, Off-campus dining, Tourist visa, Travelers’ insurance

※ Special scholarship of KRW 1,500,000 will be given to accepted applicants

<Payment>

- Pay the full fee within one week after the acceptance announcement

- Special scholarship is given to students after two weeks of payment

<Application>

- Level of study: Undergraduate
- Number of people: 10
- Criteria:
　1. (25%) Grade: 2.5 or higher of G.P.A. 4.3
　　※ For those who don’t have grades yet, their grades will be input the average of G.P.A of other applicants
　　2. (25%) Language Proficiency: submit official English test result
　　※ If there is no official English test result, it is judged by the grades of the grades of English 3, 4, or English spoken courses shown on the transcript.
　　3. (25%) Cover-letter (Self-introduction): MS word, 1 page, Korean or English, describe why you want to participate in the program, what you want to achieve, future career plans and so on
　　4. (25%) Interview
- Required documents:
　1. ID photo
　2. Yonsei Official transcript
　3. Official English test results – only for holders
　4. Cover-letter (Self-introduction)
- Application due date: Sunday, June 2nd
