The 2024 Matriculation Ceremony Held
"From today, you will continue the 139-year legacy of Yonsei. I hope that, armed with illustrious traditions and abundant resources of Yonsei, you will soar high, reaching new heights."
On February 29th (Thursday), the 2024 Matriculation Ceremony took place at the Amphitheater. Various areas across the campus, including the Amphitheater, were filled with excitement as incoming freshmen and their families anticipated the new beginning.
Approximately 5,000 attendees gathered to take their first steps as Yonseians.
President Dong-Sup Yoon expressed his congratulations, gratitude, and respect to the incoming students who have persevered with patience and diligence throughout their academic journey, as well as to the families, teachers, and friends who have supported them wholeheartedly.He added, "I hope that you will grow into individuals who embody the spirit of Yonsei: creative talents who can think integratively, collaborative talents who engage with society, and future-oriented talents who can navigate through rapidly changing environments."
Following President Yoon's address, student representatives recited the declaration of honor. They pledged to uphold integrity and compassion based on Christian principles, promising to become mature, responsible intellectuals.
Attendees captured unforgettable memories by taking photos at President Yoon's photo wall, large photo wall, and in front of the eagle mascot.
