Yonsei Enterprise Support Foundation Successfully Completes ‘2024 Yonsei University Startup Synergy'

On July 11, the Yonsei Enterprise Support Foundation successfully held the '2024 Yonsei Startup Synergy' event at Some Gavit in Seoul.

This event was designed to reflect the request of YM Lexus Toyota Chairman Sung Sang-je, who donated the start-up fund to provide various support and networking opportunities to students and young entrepreneurs to form a community of founders and lay the foundation for continuous exchange and cooperation.

The event began with opening remarks by Senior Vice President for Administration and Development Kim Yong-ho, and welcome remarks by Chairman Sung Sang-je.

The first session was held with a report on the activities and performance of the Yonsei Enterprise Support Foundation by the head of the Yonsei Enterprise Support Foundation Lee Jun-sang. Next, Startup Student Representative Jeon Sang-bin (CEO of MeTown) and alumni representative Hwang Yoomee (CEO of YOLO) presented their start-up experiences and success stories. Attorney Sunghoon Kim (Managing Partner, Mission Law Firm) provided useful information to the attendees by sharing his expertise in entrepreneurship.

In the second session, the participating startups presented their business ideas. At the guest voting and award ceremony that followed, Chairman Sung Sang-je presented the award and encouraged the winners. During the dinner and networking sessions, the participants freely exchanged opinions and sought opportunities for cooperation.

Providing a Platform for Future Entrepreneurs

The Sung Sang-je Fund actively supports students and young adults who dream of starting a business through the S-Cube Startup Membership Program and provides a corporate establishment support program and a business venue (address) contract provision program to contribute to the revitalization of the startup ecosystem.

Start of 'Morning Startup'

The Yonsei Enterprise Support Foundation started the 'Morning Startup' program to facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences between students and S-Cube resident companies and to provide opportunities for collaborative networking.

This program provides an opportunity to advance the business strategy of startups through communication with invited experts and explore various funding options. In addition, through visits to partner organizations and companies, participants can gain practical insights and experience success stories.

The 'Morning Startup' program is held regularly on the morning of the third Wednesday of every month, starting with a visit to Medi Open Lab on July 17 at 10 a.m., open to any member of Yonsei University.

Meanwhile, the Yonsei Enterprise Support Foundation plans to revitalize the start-up ecosystem by continuing to provide practical help to students and young adults who dream of starting a business through the start-up fund program. More information about the program can be found on the website of the Yonsei Enterprise Support Foundation.
