Entering the 'TOP 10' for the First Time with a Remarkable 4-Step Rise Compared to the Previous Year
Our university has secured a remarkable position, ranking 8th in Asia (1st in South Korea) in the 2024 QS World University Rankings: Asia, as announced by the prominent global higher education ranking institution, QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), on November 8th.
The QS Asia University Rankings evaluate universities across 11 key criteria, including Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty Student Ratio, International Students Ratio, research excellence measured by Citations per Paper and Papers per Faculty, and more. This year's assessment covered 857 universities from 25 different countries.
Yonsei University witnessed an improvement in several categories such as Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, and International Research Network, contributing to its rise in the rankings. Our favorable scores in the Faculty Student Ratio, International Student Ratio, and various other indicators collectively fueled our climb in the overall rankings.
Yonsei University has maintained a steady upward trajectory in the QS Asia University Rankings over the past three years. The recent advancement places us in the 8th position, up four spots from the previous year. It's worth noting that this achievement marks our debut in the top 10 since the inception of the QS Asia University Rankings in 2009. Moreover, we proudly join the top 1% of the 857 Asian universities evaluated.
