Our university, according to the global university assessment institution THE (The Times Higher Education), has once again clinched the top spot nationally in the THE World University Rankings 2024 by Subjects, announced on October 26th.
THE World University Rankings by Subjects, conducted annually, evaluates universities in eleven different fields, including Arts & Humanities, Business & Economics, Education, Law, Social Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, Clinical & Health, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Psychology. The assessment encompasses five key criteria: Educational Environment, Research Performance, Research Paper Citations, Internationalization, and Industry Collaboration.
In this achievement, our university stands out by being 1st nationally in five categories: ▲Arts & Humanities (world rank 176-200), ▲Business & Economics (world rank 47), ▲Social Sciences (world rank 96), ▲Medicine (world rank 43), and ▲Psychology (world rank 92). This remarkable accomplishment secures our status as the top university in the nation in the most categories. Seoul National University (4 categories) and KAIST (3 categories) follow our university closely.
In the global university assessments, our university achieved the 76th position in both the June QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) World University Rankings and the September THE (The Times Higher Education) World University Rankings. These two prestigious assessment institutions, THE and QS, have recognized our university as the top private university in Asia for two consecutive years. In the previous year, our university claimed the 1st position in four categories in the THE World University Rankings by Subjects, marking the most top spots among national universities. This year, we further solidified our position as the leading private university in the country by securing the top spot in five categories in the THE World University Rankings by Subjects.
Moving forward, our university plans to maintain this upward trajectory by continuing to strengthen research competitiveness through initiatives such as the recruitment and support of outstanding researchers and the promotion of promising future fields.
