  Welcome to the course “Augmented Reality & Video Service Emerging Technologies” in Coursera (www.coursera.org), which is one of the four courses of the Coursera specialization program titled "Emerging Technologies: From Smartphones to IoT to Big Data." This course is made up of seven modules. The first module “AR Applications, Products & Business” focuses on the variety of AR (Augmented Reality) applications, technologies, products, and businesses. The second module “AR Technology” focuses on AR core technologies, operation workflows, and Cloud support technologies. The third module “SIFT SURF FAST BRIEF ORB BRISK” focuses on all of the main feature extraction technologies used in AR systems. The fourth module “Skype, YouTube & H.264/MPEG-4 AVC” focuses on the two most popular video services in the World, Skype and YouTube, and the advanced multimedia streaming technologies they use. The fifth module “Video Streaming & MPEG-DASH” focuses on advanced video streaming techniques and details of MPEG-DASH technology. The sixth module “CDN Video Streaming Technology” focuses on the necessity and operations of advanced CDN (Content Delivery Network) video service technologies, along with details on CDN cooperative caching & content routing, CDN popularity prediction & contents update techniques, and mobile CDN technology. The seventh module “AR Smartphone Project” focuses on two AR smartphone projects, which use the IKEA Catalog and Google Translate applications. After the operation features of the IKEA Catalog and Google Translate AR applications are studied, the limitations of the operation process of these AR applications are tested to recognize the factors that can influence the accuracy of the AR operations
