Office of University Planning and Management
The Office of University Planning and Management fulfills the ideals of the founding spirit of Yonsei University by establishing university-wide internal and external development plans and working to improve the status of the university by effectively managing systems and resources. The office consists of four teams: Planning Team, Budget Management Team, Strategy & Evaluation Management Team and Legal Team.
The Planning Team mainly establishes and adjusts the administrative system of the Yonsei University. In detail, the team carries out human and material resource management in terms of organization, manpower, space and educational asset and also operates University Council, a statutory committee.
The Budget Management Team analyzes the operation balance of responsible operating agencies and those subject to departmental overhead and are conducting a task of reviewing, allocating and executing the project budget and reviewing the project details through the analysis of the operational status of each institution. The team analyzes each project budget by thoroughly reviewing the financial and non-financial project details and distributes budget as a result. The team also manages which departments are subject to ‘independent budgeting system’ or ‘departmental overhead system’ as well as analyzes and reviews their operation balance.
The Strategy & Evaluation Management Team establishes, implements, and oversees the vision and mid- and long-term development plans of the university. It manages major domestic and global university evaluations, including university rankings by QS, Times Higher Education, JoongAng Ilbo, and university assessment by the Ministry of Education. The team manages government-funded projects such as the University Innovation Support Project and oversees various university statistics, including the University Information Disclosure. The team is also in charge of university self-assessment, global digital marketing, and the Yonsei-POSTECH Shared Campus Project.
The Legal Team provides the legal service such as consulting on legal matters, contractual review, legal action for the insitution of Yonsei University Also, the team is in charge of enacting and revising the articles of association and subordinate regulations that are the basis of the university organization.
