Largest-Ever 2023-2024 Yonsei 'Winter Abroad at Yonsei'

Over 1,200 Students from 30 Countries Participate


Yonsei University hosted the '2023-2024 Winter Abroad at Yonsei (WAY)' orientation on December 27th (Wednesday) at Baekyang Hall.


Internationally acclaimed as the most successful winter international education program, the Winter Abroad at Yonsei was initiated by our university in 2013, marking the first of its kind in South Korea. Over the past decade, it has expanded in scale and experienced substantial growth.


This edition of the Winter Abroad at Yonsei, starting with the orientation on December 27th, will run for three weeks until January 17th. Notably, this year's program boasts the highest-ever participation, with over 1,200 students joining from more than 30 countries, including the United States, China, Singapore, and others.


Participating students will attend high-level courses in various fields such as economics, business, humanities, Korean studies, and engineering, all conducted in English. In addition to academic pursuits, students will have the opportunity to experience Korean culture and society through diverse activities like a DMZ tour, K-Food cooking class, ski trip, and Taekwondo.


Dong-Hun Kim, Vice President for International Affairs, expressed, "We hope that students from various countries participating in the Winter Abroad at Yonsei will create precious memories by attending classes and sharing academic and cultural experiences with Yonsei students.
